Traditional Dance in Kalbar

There are many traditional dances in Nusantara. But in this era, traditional dance is not really popular. Because shift of globalisation. Traditional dane usually used to entertain, receiving the guest, war, curing the disease. Traditional dance in Kalbar omong others are monong dance, kondan dane, and many others. All of the dance have special characteristicand different rules.
Monong dance is cure dance from dayak tribe. This dance is also part from Bemanang ceremony. In this era, tis dane often performs to welcome the guests. In this dane, daner be caprious like dukun to cure the patient. Its also perfmed in art party.
Pingan dance comes from dayak mualang tribe, regency sekadau. The function is for entertaining and thank to God. Dancer brings two pinggans, pinggan is made from stone or made from fragment and a pair of ring made from tin. The ring is used at fingers of the dancers. In this era pinggan dance still keep well. This dance is spreaded in Belitang Hulu. Hilir and all Dayal tribe.
Kondan dance is associate dance and accompany with quatrain and traditional music. This dance is come from dayak tribe, regency sanggau. Its function is to say thank to passangers, to welcome the year of planting and thank to God who give luck.
Uut danum dance is war dance from dayak kinyah uut danum tribe, that show about nimble and cautious when fight the enemy. This dance use original ahpang (Mandau), completely with war clothes protector.
Zapin dance come from Melayu, kalbar. Its a social dance in society, usually as the media to says happiness in society. In this dance, dancers wear teluk belanga clothes. This dance accompany with a gambus, two ketipungs and a gendang. Zapin that use tembung property called zapin tembung, zapin that use fan property called zapin fan. Basic movement of apin is same with public is west Sumatra. Beore 1960 only boys can dance this dance, but now, girls can dance this dance too.
